Introducing Helios: Identity Infrastructure for Every Organization that requires Control

Explore Helios

Today we are introducing Helios, our foundational identity infrastructure designed for organizations operating in high-compliance environments. Helios executes end-to-end KYC and eKYC workflows with unprecedented accuracy. While we built Helios from the ground up to support fully local, on-premises deployments where no data leaves your environment, it is designed to be accessible to every organization through flexible integration options.

The Need for Control and Flexibility

Most identity verification today relies on external APIs. Organizations submit biometric and document data to a third-party system, receive a decision, and absorb the compliance exposure that comes with moving sensitive information. This model presents structural limitations in regulated industries. The failure modes are well documented. They include opaque decision logic, fragmented audit trails, and a limited ability to adapt system behavior to specific regulatory requirements.

We built Helios to address these challenges directly. The core issue is rarely model accuracy. It is system design. The loss of control that comes from outsourcing the verification pipeline creates unnecessary risk. Helios solves this at the architectural level by bringing frontier intelligence directly to your data, whether deployed locally or accessed via our secure managed services.

Capabilities

Helios runs the entire verification workflow with exceptional speed and reliability. A standard session includes document ingestion, structured field extraction, advanced passive liveness confirmation, face matching against enrolled records, document forgery analysis, and a reasoned verification decision. Complete end-to-end verification finishes in under 30 seconds.

The system does not rely on a sequence of independent binary checks. It evaluates signals holistically across the full session. It analyzes document integrity, liveness confidence, face match scores, and behavioral consistency to produce a verification output grounded in combined context. Every decision includes an interpretable explanation alongside the final outcome. This transparency is critical for compliance teams and appeals workflows.

Robust Liveness and Anti-Spoofing

Helios utilizes a highly capable passive-first liveness pipeline. It simultaneously analyzes depth cues, texture, motion, and facial geometry to distinguish live users from spoofs, deepfakes, and presentation attacks such as masks, printed photos, and video replays. A secondary active gesture layer provides a confirmatory signal when passive confidence falls below a set threshold. We designed this pipeline specifically for the adversarial input distributions we observe in real-world deployments, including screen recaptures of printed documents, which remain a common attack vector in emerging markets.

Intelligent Document Analysis

Helios extracts structured identity fields from documents across multiple scripts and languages, including handwritten text. It is purpose-trained on complex regional identity document formats such as citizenship certificates, passports, and driving licenses. The model effectively handles the specific typographic and handwriting variations present in local document populations. Where generic global OCR systems struggle on these distributions, our tailored models excel.

Forgery detection runs in parallel. The system evaluates structural consistency, font and field anomalies, print pattern signals, and metadata coherence to flag altered or counterfeit documents before they reach human review queues.

Face Matching at Scale

Helios supports robust 1:N face identification. It matches a submitted face against a database of enrolled records to detect duplicates, confirm uniqueness at onboarding, or flag specific individuals. We designed the system to operate reliably at billion-record scale with sub-second query responses.

Safety, Auditability, and Compliance

Every session in Helios produces a comprehensive record. This includes image captures at each stage, the signal scores that informed every step, the reasoning path behind the final decision, and the outcome with its justification. Compliance teams can access this through a secure back-office dashboard featuring role-based access controls and exportable session logs. The audit trail is comprehensive and designed to meet the most rigorous compliance standards.

Helios is built in alignment with stringent regional regulatory frameworks, including the Nepal Rastra Bank's KYC and Video KYC guidelines. System boundaries are clearly defined, ensuring your compliance posture remains secure.

Deployment and Integration

Helios is modular by design. Document extraction, liveness, face matching, and fraud analysis components can be configured independently. Organizations deploying Helios can shape the system around their exact requirements rather than adapting their workflows to a fixed external product.

For organizations that require sovereign control, Helios can be deployed as a suite of local services that run entirely on customer infrastructure with no recurring third-party data processing costs. For other organizations looking for rapid integration, Helios is readily available via secure, scalable APIs. This flexibility ensures that frontier intelligence is accessible to everyone.

Availability

Helios is available now. It is actively deployed today across banking, fintech, payment, insurance, telecom, and capital markets environments. Organizations interested in exploring Helios can learn more or request a deployment by visiting our enterprise page here.
